My wife and I decided last minute to get a room at Holiday Inn so the room options were limited so we took what we could get. I reached out to the front desk after my reservation and requested a bottle of wine in our room and the response i received was nearly immediate and totally accommodated my request with some options for wine. The day of our arrival i received a phone call from the hotel asking when we would be arriving so they would have our room ready, very impressive! Upon check in the fantastic front desk lady wished me a happy anniversary when she recognized my name and told me they had a lake front room cancellation and upgraded us! When we got to our room the wine was being chilled with a very nice happy anniversary message and some chocolates. The room was updated and very clean and comfortable with a great view of the lake. That evening we had a few cocktails in the bar was was also excellent as was breakfast the next morning. What was most impressive to me was the service provided by the hotel staff.......in a world where customer service is a thing of the past Holiday in Detroit Lakes rises above. Ownership should be proud of the staff they have and the job they do!! Impressive and i will be back!! Thank you HI staff for making our short stay memorable!
