A Rich History Preserved and Revitalized
The Nome Schoolhouse has a deep connection to the local community, having educated generations of students before closing its doors in 1970 due to declining rural enrollment. After decades of being used for storage, the schoolhouse was given a new life when its current owners purchased the property in 2018. Following an extensive three-year restoration, the building reopened in 2021 as a Fiber Arts Retreat Center, Event Center, and Boutique Hotel—blending historic charm with modern amenities.
