Sifted & Sweet Baking Co., located in Moorhead, MN, is a delightful bakery offering an array of custom cakes, decorated cookies, and a wide variety of baked goods. With a focus on flavor and customer satisfaction, this charming spot also serves breakfast, lunch, and hosts fun events like cookie decorating classes throughout the month.
The bakery’s name was crafted in 2019 by Lindsay and her husband Brad. While Brad favored "Sweet & Sifted," Lindsay opted for "Sifted & Sweet" as she felt it followed a more logical order, as sifting comes before the sweets – and it had a better ring to it. This collaboration between the couple is just one example of the personal touch that defines their business.
What sets Sifted & Sweet apart from other bakeries is its dedication to flavor and customer involvement. They actively encourage customers to share their ideas, some of which may even become part of their regular menu rotation.
Sifted & Sweet started as a passion project for Lindsay, who began baking at home as a part-time hobby while working full-time as a teacher. Inspired by her love for baking shows like The Great British Baking Show, she initially sold only the items she felt like making. It wasn't long before she transitioned to custom orders and took the leap into full-time baking.
Since opening its doors in November 2019, Sifted & Sweet has earned a loyal following. Located near the intersection of 24th Ave and 8th St in Moorhead, near Village Inn and Planet Fitness, it’s the perfect stop for anyone craving something sweet or savory.
Though the bakery is still growing, their cinnamon and caramel rolls have already earned a reputation for being irresistible.
