What could be better than a summer night outside while you take in one of the best shows in the area performed by some of our very talented youth? Not much except for today`s Daily Deal:
For $17, you get 2 general admission tickets to Singin' In the Rain at Trollwood Performing Arts School ($34 Value)!
Trollwood Performing Arts School, located at Bluestem Amphitheatre at Bluestem Center For The Arts (hwy 75 (8th St S) & 50th Ave S in Moorhead) has been cultivating young talent since 1978. This summer's feature presentation is Singin' In the Rain! Please plan to arrive early to take your seat and enjoy the show!
Show Synopsis: The “Greatest Movie Musical of All Time” is faithfully and lovingly adapted by Broadway legends, Betty Comden and Adolph Green, from their original award-winning screenplay in Singin’ in the Rain. Each unforgettable scene, song and dance is accounted for, including the show-stopping title number, complete with an onstage rainstorm! Hilarious situations, snappy dialogue and a hit-parade score of Hollywood standards make Singin’ in the Rain the perfect entertainment for any fan of the golden age of movie musicals. Singin’ in the Rain has all the makings of a Tinseltown tabloid headline – the starlet, the leading man and a love affair that could change lives and make or break careers! In silent movies, Don Lockwood and Lina Lamont are a hot item but, behind the scenes, things aren’t always as they appear on the big screen! Meanwhile, Lina’s squeaky voice might be the end of her career in “talking pictures” without the help of a talented young actress to do the talking and singing for her.
Gate opens at 7:15pm with the show starting at 8:30pm. Quick Concessions available before and during the show. You can also browse Trollwood's Silent Auction before the show! Many unique baskets and items available. All proceeds directly support the youth arts programs of Trollwood.
